Thank you so much for the hard work, Harold! Truly invaluable to me!!!

Have you seen this list of potential additions to this spreadsheet?
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7844&p=117237#p116865

I can go through and check if any of these lists are eligible, but wanted to check with you first if you have already given them any thoughts (even though I know that you stick to sources that are in the EOY 2018 album spreadsheet or the EOY 2019 song spreadsheet).

You're welcome, Henrik!

No, I haven't looked at these yet - I haven't been around here that much lately. I am happy to add any of these EOY lists that are deemed eligible. Let me know also if there are sources on the song spreadsheet that have album lists I haven't yet added. Thanks!

Thanks, Henrik. I was planning to follow up on this soon. I am fortunate to have a job that allows me to actually work from home while this is ongoing, but I have plenty of time to get back to updating the spreadsheet as well.

Here's another update including the following sources:
RFI (Francophone & African)
Voir
Metal Hammer
Prog
Planet Rock
Louder Than War
NOW
CBC Music
Long Live Vinyl
Télérama
RIFF
Spill
De Morgen
Northern Transmissions
Songlines
Prog Sphere

I have also added columns for these lists, but no data filled in yet. Someone else is more than welcome to fill in them.
Alternative Press
Aquarium Drunkard
DownBeat (Jazz & Blues & Beyond)

These sources seemed ineligible to me (no or too few album reviews in all cases I think). Convince me if I'm wrong.
Vibe
REDPEM
KCRW
The Vinyl Factory
HeadStuff
APCA
Maze
Festicket

Vive le Rock and CBC should be added too (see post above). Is that ok?

Pm me if you have questions about how to enter the data for any of the lists.

REDPEM and APCA are similar in the way to choose their lists of albums.

REDPEM was considered last year. It's a kind of "Jazz & Pop" but only with critics of Latin American and Spain and for choosing albums of these region(s). All the people who participate are critics and music journalists. The results are the product of all, it's not a individual or editorial list. They also bring media coverage through Zona de Obras music magazine.

https://www.zonadeobras.com/tag/redpem/

APCA has also the same way to make their lists. They are only included music journalists or critics of art in general from Sao Paolo, Brazil and they did it since 1951. They are remarkable in Brazil and also the same Association organize an award ceremony for the best of the music and other arts of Brazil every year.

Panam, about REDPEM you say ”The results are the product of all, it's not a individual or editorial list”, but I thought you counted the number of mentions?

Henrik and Holden:

Thank you! As you can see from my initial reply to Henrik, I was completely not expecting others to take up this spreadsheet as well as the 2010's, but I confess that I am more than happy to "pass the baton." Kind of nice to be a spectator for a change...

Henrik, just to reiterate what I've said before: When you have the list of albums that are going to be added to AM, I will gladly help with needed data.

Thanks again, all!

Sorry, it's my rough english. When I refer product of all I meant the results of all the individual lists. As you say the total of counts of mentions by participants published by Zona de Obras.

I was checking the page viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8291&p=114959&hilit=redpem#p114959
and I realized that I shared two lists (songs and albums). Songs were made only by Zona de Obras editorial, it's not part of REDPEM.
The album lists is what I'm talking about.

REDPEM is Red de Periodistas Musicales de Iberoamérica (REDPEM) - Music Journalists of Ibero-America Network and existed since 2015

After you save the file and close it, reopen it and then save and close again. That should reduce the file size.

I said here
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7901#p115176
that any major poll among critics/musicians/artists (maybe at least 20 voters?) should probably be eligible too. REDPEM has exactly 20 voters and they made the count of votes themselves - they're in! :)

But the APCA list was made by only four people. And it's not a source that meet the 10 reviews per month criteria. I don't think it meets the criteria then.

And what about Zona de Obras and their songs list? Do they meet the 10 reviews per month criteria?

just one question to clarify. I understand the minimum number of critics for the surveys, but when it's in the name of an association (whose purpose is to reward artistic quality) equivalent to the Mercury Prize in the UK or the Polaris in Canada is necessary a minimum too?

It’s not that they give an award to the best Brazilian album though. It’s a list of 50 albums.

Panam, please note that the reason why I hesitate to include the lists you have posted is not that I don’t want them. It’s because I think you dig a bit deeper for lists from Latin America than what most people are doing from other parts of the world, and I want to use the same eligibility criteria across the whole world. I am however aware that the ”music magazine culture” is not the same in for example Brazil and the UK, and therefore other kinds of sources need to be considered.

I totally understand that. I'm not trying to force anything, that's why I'm always asking. Personally, i think Brazil needs better representation and the Hispanic America is well covered. I'll asking if i got a doubt about it ;)

I know you always ask (and sometimes even doubtful yourself) and I really appreciate that. And I also think Brazil is very underrepresented! I googled APCA and saw that it is not an obscure thing. Let’s include them as well then!

Another reason why I often ask for more info to get convinced (not just from you, Panam) is because I do not like the situations where I have approved a source and later felt that I shouldn’t have included it.

Sorry, I didn't see that, or I would've added it! I can do that later, but if anyone else wants to do it now go for it.

Panam/Henrik, am I just adding in the original post for APCA, or does the comment have something I should input too?

Sorry for the late reply.

I think that all the ones that Monte listed down to No Depression can be included, plus Maximum Rocknroll (why not?). Impose and Far Out don't have nearly enough reviews as fas as I can see. Radio X and Capital XTRA are not country "main radio stations".

You’re welcome!! I enjoyed it! (Also super happy to see Magdalene enter the top 3)! Is this the final version of the spreadsheet or are there more sources that might be eligible?

I don't think so,

My only objection would be the Pazz & Jop Rip-Off Poll inclusion. I have not found any info about Glenn Boothe & Keith Artin being critics or journalists, etc. and it seems that the poll was done for anyone on facebook:
If you got this far, then you are invited to participate in the 2019 edition of our Rip-Off of the Village Voice Pazz & Jop poll. And feel free to invite others to participate!
You have 100 points to assign to ten records and the maximum number of points to assign to one album is 30 and the minimum is 5.

I'd like to know @Henrik thoughts on this source.
