The website that two years ago did an article saying they wouldn't put Brand New in their albums list on moral grounds is happy to put Tool in their top 10 this year huh *looks at camera*

If memory serves (I could be wrong), didn't the allegations against Keenan end up being given less credibility and having far less traction than the ones against Lacey?charliepanayi wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 8:34 pm The website that two years ago did an article saying they wouldn't put Brand New in their albums list on moral grounds is happy to put Tool in their top 10 this year huh *looks at camera*

One more thought re: this general topic - if you really want to ponder some cognitive dissonance, how about the fact that Jenny Lewis's album is doing so well (including #38 here) despite producer credit for one Ryan Adams. However, Lewis (probably out of necessity, given that the stories about Adams's behavior started breaking right before the album came out) did a great job of thoroughly disavowing him and minimizing his actual involvement in the recording, so that probably helped.Harold wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:53 pmIf memory serves (I could be wrong), didn't the allegations against Keenan end up being given less credibility and having far less traction than the ones against Lacey?charliepanayi wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 8:34 pm The website that two years ago did an article saying they wouldn't put Brand New in their albums list on moral grounds is happy to put Tool in their top 10 this year huh *looks at camera*

Re: EOY 2019 - Consequence of Sound (US)
I mean, it would have been very ludicrous if Jenny Lewis's album had been punished just because the producer/guy who plays on half the songs was exposed as a dickhead. It's her album, not his.Harold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 3:46 pmOne more thought re: this general topic - if you really want to ponder some cognitive dissonance, how about the fact that Jenny Lewis's album is doing so well (including #38 here) despite producer credit for one Ryan Adams. As for Tool, if the allegation was discredited fair enough, but if it was it wasn't mentioned much in the media

On the Spotify playlist, "Selfish" by Little Simz is placed in between "More" and "Caroline", so unless they fix the article, I'm not sure what to do here...
EDIT: They added "Selfish" to the article... so now there's two songs at #29 and still no #19.
