I'm not entirely sure myself because in all honesty I only just came across it and couldn't spot it in the forums. It wouldn't surprise me though because there does seem to be quite a few publications updating some of their categorized lists. Like the Rolling Stones 2020, Fast n Bulbous 1000 albums (recently) or that list.. I think it was a best dance list that no one could figure out whether it was an update until they spotted "Dancing On My Own" (somewhere at #13) - the most recent release track on that list.

Actually yes they did update this one because there was a forum of the 80s and 90s in 2015 whilst this one is now dated 2020. I clicked on the link for 2015 and all it took me to was this one in 2020. In 2015, Whitney Houston is #1 whilst in this 2020 update, she is #3.

We know TimeOut is very mainstream-driven with its lists. With that in mind, a top 50 '80s list without Madonna? I think not.

It sure is odd like that. For me, an 80s list ain't complete without a bit of B-52s. : (
