Revolution Magazine: The 50 albums that killed rock... and got us dancing (2000)

Post by brettc »

I remembered seeing this list in print years ago, but was only recently able to track it down online:

https://rateyourmusic.com/list/isra_lim ... s-dancing/

A used copy of the issue is currently en route to me via mail -- happy to fact-check or provide any further context, as needed.

I was thinking that about Stone Roses other than Fools Gold which wasn’t even featured on that album originally in certain parts of the world.

Nothing against the type of music on this list, but am I the only one who thinks you can dance well to rock (and a lot of other music genres not this list)?

Absolutely easier to dance to some rock and other genres than to Dummy (great album obviously, but not one I regularly dance to).

Some Portishead has some nice slow dance quality, but yeah, they are not typical dance material.
