Is it just me or I don't remember Paramore being mentioned on lists until "Ain't It Fun" and "Still Into You" took off. It's just so weird seeing them mentioned everywhere now when I don't think they were ever mentioned before 2013 / 2014.

Depends where you look. Rock magazines probably always loved them (especially alternative/emo-focused ones like Spin or AP) while I recall there being a bit of a critical stigma around emo and pop-punk for a long time (save for bands with pre-established cred like Green Day). Paramore changed their sound right when poptimism was taking off, and then ‘00s pop-punk got a second wind thanks to artists like Olivia Rodrigo and MGK, so that allowed their older stuff to get re-evaluated too.

Hmmm haven't seen any of this "re-evaluation." (also I hate that term)

I think the band just matured and got better too. If anything their 2013 s/t album and their 2017 album After Laughter are a little underrated based on critics' current sensibilities.
