Thank you for you all!

To count the points, I used the formula 100*(9)/(8+rank). So the #1 gets 100 points, #2 90 points, #10 50 points and #100 8,33 points. So less seen movies (or movies not liked by the majority) but really loved by one or two voter had chance to enter the top 100.

In the rules I said that a minimum length for the list is top 20. However, I included ManPerson’s top 10 list but in that case #1 got points that #11 normally would get (and #10 got points for #20). That didn’t change a lot for the results (those ten movies were big hits in general).

239 movies got mentioned. 229 of them were feature length films, 3 feature length tvMovies, 3 feature length videos, 3 tvMiniSeries and one ineligible tvShort (How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)) (Though I included it. It didn’t enter inside top 100).

I last saw A Boy Named Charlie Brown about a million years ago, but I ordered it paired with Snoopy Come Home on the same disc, with the excuse that maybe my 2-year-old will sit through it when I use the portable DVD player.

Thanks Petri!

I'm surprised Soul did so well.

Grave of the Fireflies is a good, well-made movie, but it's not really my cup of tea. Maybe I need to rewatch it, but its more theme than movie, it's rather joyless, and feels too close to cry-porn.

Awesome stuff! I loved every movie I've seen on here...and also know what I need to catch up on.

Surprised to see WALL-E win when Spirited Away usually outperforms it in the all time polls. But since they are both in my Top 10, not complaining.

It is absolutely criminal that Ponyo missed the top 100. It would've been my #2 had I voted.

(Yes I know I have no right to complain because I didn't vote. Sorry!)

Took place in a ranking of Miyazaki’s about two years ago and what really stands out is how 10/11 of his movies are someone’s favourite (no offence to Lupin). Undoubtedly the best animation director of all time.

Glad we managed to get Porco Rosso on the list.

Thought Spirited Away would be #1 but with Wall-e being at my #2 spot I'm not complaining.

Thanks, Petri, for the roll-out and for giving Charlie Brown a second vote. I'm also surpised about the winner. Nice surprise is the good ranking of Aladdin compared to other Disneys.

Nick wrote: Mon Nov 08, 2021 3:36 am It is absolutely criminal that Ponyo missed the top 100.

Best animation director of all time for sure and one the best in general and Lupin III is one of my favorite action adventure movies ever. It is in the same league than Raiders of the Lost Ark (maybe even better).
If Nick would have voted, Ponyo would have been somewhere around #60 (assuming he had voted some other movies outside top 50 too).

10 . Treasure Planet (2002)
11 . Home on the Range (2004)
12 . Chicken Little (2005)
13 . Meet the Robinsons (2007)
14 . Winnie the Pooh (2011)
15 . Frozen II (2019)

PIXAR
1 . Cars (2006)
2 . Cars 2 (2011)
3 . Monsters University (2013)
4 . The Good Dinosaur (2015)
5 . Cars 3 (2017)

STUDIO GHIBLI
1 . Ocean Waves (1993)
2 . Tales from Earthsea (2006)
3 . Earwig and the Witch (2020)

Definitely disappointed no one voted for Great Mouse Detective, would have certainly been in my top 100 if I'd gone that far.

I hope more people eventually watch The Wolf House (I'm assuming my lone vote is because no one else has gotten around to it yet). One of the best movies of the last few years, kind of like if Svankmajer's Alice went full horror.

Ocean Waves is pretty good, the kind of slice of life in the same vein as Whisper of the Heart, but for college kids.

Edit: it's been a while, so it might be high school kids.

While I agree that those Pixar and Ghibli movies are definitely the worst from the Studios in Disney movies there are many that could have gained some points (at least many of them are in my top 240 :) ) The ones that just missed my top 100 (meaning they were in my top 150): Frozen II (better than original imo), Atlantis and Treasure Planet. I also loved Oliver & Company when I saw it but haven't rewatched it since I was seven. I also liked The Great Mouse Detective and Winnie the Pooh (2011).

I try to catch and watch Wolf House (and Wolfwalkers too).

I remember liking it, but it was definitely minor-tier Ghibli. Still deserved at least one vote though.

Very late reply, but thanks for the tip! Certainly looks interesting.
Will definitely watch it if I come across it.
