This is the thread where we'll be discussing Hermann Hesse's 1922 novel Siddhartha.

You can discuss anything you'd like about the section of the novel we are reading. From the 30th of December to the 6th of January we'll be discussing the first 3 chapters. This thread will probably contain spoilers so be careful when reading the posts in this thread. If by next week you haven't caught up with the previous section we discussed feel free to post about it. Just don't post about anything in any of the sections we haven't gotten to.

Schedule:

The Son of the Brahman-Gotama (Dec. 30-Jan. 6)
Awakening-With the Childlike People (Jan. 6-Jan. 13)
Sansara-The Ferryman (Jan. 13-Jan. 20)
The Son-End (Jan. 20-Jan. 27)
There is No More Firmament.

We now move on to reading from 'Sansara' to 'The Ferryman'.
I'm going to move the nomination thread to the 3rd (or the penultimate) week from now on.

I just realized I never commented on Siddhartha despite actually keeping up with the schedule. The book was great but there was nothing I felt that I needed to say about it. Out of the four books we've read this is my favorite.
