AMF Book Club #4 - A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
This is the thread where we'll be discussing John Kennedy Toole's 1980 novel A Confederacy of Dunces.
You can discuss anything you'd like about the section of the novel we are reading. From the 3rd of February to the 10th of February we'll be discussing the first 2 chapters. This thread will probably contain spoilers so be careful when reading the posts in this thread. If by next week you haven't caught up with the previous section we discussed feel free to post about it. Just don't post about anything in any of the sections we haven't gotten to.
Schedule:
1. Chapters 1-2 (February 3rd-10th)
2. Chapters 3-4 (February 10th-17th)
3. Chapters 5-6 (February 17th-24th)
4. Chapters 7-8 (February 24th-March 3rd)
5. Chapters 9-10 (March 3rd-10th)
6. Chapters 11-12 (March 10th-17th)
7. Chapters 13-14 (March 17th-24th)

I've been reading but I'm too preoccupied with putting my 2020 songs/albums lists together to write anything at the moment. I'll drop some notes on the first few chapters next week after that poll wraps.

I'm not involved in this book club, but I read the novel a while ago.

I think so, the "neckbeard" archetype probably has existed forever but never reached a level of notoriety until the internet era.
